Cold Rolled Steel (CR) is essentially a hot rolled steel (HR) that has been through further processing. It comes with better surface characteristics than hot rolled steel, and it’s no surprise that cold rolled steel is often used for more technically precise applications or where aesthetics is important. But due to the additional processing for cold finished products, they come at a higher price.

In terms of physical characteristics, cold-rolled steels are typically harder and stronger than standard hot-rolled steels. As the metal is shaped at lower temperatures, the steel’s hardness, resistance against tension breaking, and resistance against deformation are all increased due to work hardening. Also, when it comes to tolerances, the CR steel has much tighter tolerances than HR steel which means CR features more precise & consistent in thickness & weight.

2. The Dynamic load rating is the maximum amount of weight that a rack or stand can handle (withstand) by dropping or racking the weight (loaded bar) on it.

Westside hole spacing is the term used for 1″ hole spacing in bench zone of Power rack or Squat stand, which allows finding the optimal spot for your safety attachments, enhances your benching comfort by maximising choice for height adjustability.

A Gauge is used to indicate the thickness of the metal used in our equipment (Power rack, squat stand, etc.). Like 11-gauge steel pipe equal 3mm thick metal pipe

The distinguishing factors among the Regular & Advanced J-Cups are:

1. Protective UHMW plastic liner: The Regular J-Cups are featured with only one side UHMW plastic liner (i.e., clasp area); elsewhere in Advance J-Cups, the UHMW plastic liner is provided with all side (back & clasp), which protects your bar’s knurl & finish as well as the upright of your rack from scratches.
2. Compatibility: Regular J-Cups are compatible with 60x60mm pipe (Eco stand uprights); on the other hand, Advance J-cups are compatible with 75x75mm pipe (Gorilla series uprights).
